2014 Virginia M. Kline Award
Eagle Nature Trail Chair Jean Weedman accepts the 2014 Virginia M. Kline Award for Excellence in Community-Based Ecological Restoration, awarded by the Aldo Leopold Foundation and the UW-Madison Arboretum. Trail supporters joined in the event: back row-Tom Weedman, Barb Holtz, Alli Chase (Alice Baker Memorial Library Director), and front-Mary Jenks.


Garlic Mustard Pull Champions 2021
The Eagle Nature Trail team with the help of Eagle Elementary School students exceeded 13 other teams in the Southeast WI region to become the 2021 Garlic Mustard Pull-a-Thon Champions. The team recruited 181 volunteers and collected $3250 in donations to be shared with SEWISC and the trail.Over the past 8 years the trail had pulled 12,277 pounds of garlic mustard and Dames rocket from the trail’s management area.

Our team of 119 volunteers pulled 1350 pounds of garlic mustard and dame’s rocket and out-competed other teams in the 8 county Southeast WI area. Eagle students and community members pulled together.
